I made a D in photography at University. My professor said I lacked focus, that I was lazy and sloppy, and had no artistic soul. Eh. I didn't like dodging and burning, or mounting and framing, and Photoshop hadn't been invented yet. I just like to think I was ahead of my time.
Most of the time, I take photos using my Motorola cell phone. Other times, I use the Lumix digital camera I won playing Scene-It at my husband's Christmas party in 2007. All those wasted years paid off.
I am interested in the feeling of endlessness that evaporated sometime in my teens. I get glimpses of it through my son, and in cracks between fences, hidden rooms, and hidey holes under staircases. I miss that feeling.
